Welcome to our wedding info site!

First and foremost, if you have questions about the event and they aren't covered here, drop Brendon a line at his email address and he'll do his best to help you.

In a nutshell, the wedding is on Saturday, August 28th at 5p at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown LA. The evening starts in the garden for the ceremony and moves into BP Hall for the reception and party. Plan to stay late - we have an amazing ensemble (The Dirty Dozen Brass Band) playing until midnight.

We are stongly encouraging everyone that is attending the wedding to consider either a) arranging for transportation home from the event or b) staying at one of the hotels a few blocks from the Disney Hall that evening. This will allow you to enjoy both the band and the open bar until the music stops without any worries.

If you are in LA for several days, we recommend NOT staying in downtown for your entire visit. It is far better to lodge in one of LA's walking-friendly areas with more to do like Santa Monica or Hollywood. We've put a list of fun things to do in LA in the "lodging & activities" tab.

In case you were wondering, our honeymoon will be on the island paradise of Bora Bora. We'll be staying in a hut over the water and spending our days snorkeling, kayaking, learning to sail, getting treatments at the spa, eating the French-Polynesian quisine, and relaxing while we read books on our Kindles.

why disney hall? timetable menu the band
Disney Hall is a very special place for us.

We met for the first time in the cafeteria on a blind date in November of 2007 and have spent many wonderful evenings since at the venue (we're season ticket holders for the LA Phil). When we got engaged last December, it was in the very spot that we first met. Here is a picture of the moment from a hidden camera:

We're delighted to be able to hold our wedding in such a beautiful location that is so central to our life together; we're also delighted that you are going to be there to share the occasion with us.

5p-6p Ceremony in the Outdoor Garden
6p-7p Cocktails and Hors D'Oeuvre in the Garden
7p-8:30p Dinner in BP Hall
8:30p-12a Drinks and Dancing with the Dirty Dozen Brass Band in BP Hall

The menu will be seasonal and selected about thirty-days prior to the event. We'll post the exact details once they are determined. In case you were wondering, Patina Catering will be providing the food and beverages for the event.

As you could see from your invitation, there will be a selection between a Beef, Fish or Vegan Entree. If you have any concerns about the food or specific requests prior to the posting of the menu, please contact us at: our email.

The Dirty Dozen Brass Band

We are honored to have the Dirty Dozen Brass Band performing immediately following dinner until 12p. (Plan to stay late!) If you are unfamiliar with the group, check them out in Wikipedia or this multimedia write-up in FlypMedia Magazine. You can also listen to some tracks below:

In case you are interested, here is some information on the technology that makes this little page tick:

jQuery Fancybox Gaya Design Google Topspin

jQuery, the jQuery backgrounder plug-in, fancybox and some tab code from Gaya Design made the page pretty simple to put together.

The map functionality was provided by Google Maps.

The audio player for the Dirty Dozen Brass Band was provided by Topspin.

Photoshop CS5 helped us tastefully adapt a photo for our registry page with its Content Aware Fill. Check out the before and after. Crazy! Photoshop also performed all of the image editing.
